Vancouver Energy at LOCALHOST Social

Next Thursday, July 25th, join us for the LOCALHOST Social: an evening event at Osito in Gastown celebrating our IETF visitors and global standards, and connecting with the energy of people building in Vancouver.

While we've got hack days and deep technical workshops all week (and weekend!) long, the LOCALHOST Social is to connect with people locally and talk about what we're doing here in Vancouver.

The Minimum Viable Demos event was extremely inspiring, showcasing short demos across art, tech, and science. This wrap up video of both the setup for the event as well as some of the evening demos shows some of the energy – a "love letter to Vancouver" – that came across:

With the LOCALHOST Social, we want to put out a beacon for people who want to see more energy like this in Vancouver.

That means connecting to the world, but also celebrating what we're building locally.

Stay and connect with others after the presentations who want to grow things locally. Osito, which has been a great partner for local creative community events, will also be bringing in a live band, and the snacks and drinks can continue.
